  • NSW Government
    This page has a list of online map sites. Maps include Boating Maps, Bicycle Maps, Groundwater Bore Maps, Environmental Maps, as well as those listed below.

  • NSW Department of Lands - Spatial Information eXchange (SIX)
    The SIX Gateway provides a single entry point through which to search, access and utilise the wealth of geospatial services and data managed by Lands, in many cases free of charge.

  • NSW Department of Lands - Surveys and Maps
    The Land and Property Division (LPI)
    supports the survey industry in NSW by collecting and maintaining official survey data. This important data underpins the State’s land information and mapping systems and is used to produce a range of digital and hardcopy mapping products. and services.

  • NSW Department of Lands - Parish Maps
    Access to the state's historical and current Parish, Town, County and Municipal maps
    .
    Images of Pastoral Maps, which show Pastoral Runs from the mid 1800s, are also available for viewing on this site.

  • Geoscience Australia
    Geoscience Australia is Australia's national agency for geoscience research and geospatial information. Online maps include scanned 1:250 000 Geology maps, as well as a number of interactive maps


International

  • The CIA World Factbook
    As well as maps the CIA World Factbook provides information about the people, government, economy, communications etc of the nations of the world.

  • US Geological Survey (USGS)
    The USGS serves the United States by "providing reliable scientific information to describe and understand the Earth; minimize loss of life and property from natural disasters; manage water, biological, energy, and mineral resources." Includes lots of dynamic maps

  • Oddens' Bookmarks
    Produced by the Cartography Section of Utrecht University. The link pages refer to more than 9,750 links of maps and atlases. This is one of the most popular and successful map and cartographic sites available

  • Perry-Castaneda Library Map Room
