Research Impact Support at UNSW

Faculty Outreach Librarians
UNSW Library provides support to UNSW academics and researchers through the Faculty Outreach service. Outreach Librarians offer support on many of the different aspects of research impact.

Researcher Development Unit
The Researcher Development Unit has the main responsibility for researcher training services. They offer a suite of workshops for researchers and academics as part of the UNSW Academic Career Development Framework

Grants Management Office
The Grants Management Office can help you with many aspects of the grants application process, including:

  • Training & Information Sessions: Systems training (RMS, RGMS, Ethics Online, Info Ed) and Scheme workshops (how to put together the application, what to look out for)
  • Checklists & Toolkits: Salary Scales, Templates, Compliance Checklists, One-stop Resource WebPages
  • Access to RMS (ARC grants) and HelpDesk assistance with RMS and RGMS (NHMRC grants)

UNSW Media Office
The UNSW Media Office can help you with:

  • Promoting research and other key activities of the University through domestic and international media
  • Responding to media queries, including requests for expert comment
  • Assisting academics with media releases, media placement and opinion pieces

Research Analysis, Performance and Profile Office
The Research Analysis, Performance and Profile (RAPP) Office portfolio includes coordinating and managing the University’s submissions to the Excellence in Research in Australia (ERA) government exercises, and providing strategic advice and data support to the DVC-Research on the University’s research performance and profile.
