Tools for text and data mining

  • JSTOR Labs Textanalyser : Drag and drop full text articles and Text analyzer will analyse the text and identify the key terms. The tool also suggests other relevant articles from JSTOR.

  • Orange Data Mining: an open-source data visualization, machine learning and data mining toolkit using Python.

  • VOSViewer : a software tool for constructing and visualizing bibliometric networks which include journals, researchers or individual publications. The text mining functionality allows you to construct and visualise co-occurrence of terms extracted from a body of literature. [See more Introduction to VOSViewer]

  • Voyant Tool : a web-based text analysis tool which can be used to analyse text uploaded by the user or a collection of online texts in a variety of formats.  [See more Text mining with Voyant Tools, no R or any other coding required]
