Study hacks are a series of workshops for new and returning students throughout term. These sessions will help you develop key skills you need to succeed at UNSW.

Ask a question

To ask a question about using the Library or accessing resources and services:

UNSW Library notifications

Notifications about your current loans, overdue items or requests are sent to your UNSW email account.

Interlibrary loans

If the Library does not have access to a book or journal article that you need for your studies, you can submit a request to obtain the item on Interlibrary loan. UNSW Library will look into obtaining it for you from another library.

myLibrary

Log in to myLibrary to:

  • check your loans and due dates
  • renew your loans
  • track your requests
  • check fines
  • ensure you are getting access to all the Library's online resources

Services for students

Borrowing rights
Loan period is generally 4 weeks (for undergraduates) and 6 months (for postgraduates), unless recalled. 4 hour loans apply for High Use Collection items. Undergraduates can have 50 items out on loan and Postgraduates can have 100 items.

Requesting items
Request an item that is on loan to someone else or located at an another UNSW campus library.

Interlibrary loans
Request items not held at UNSW Library.

Off-campus borrowing
Library resources for off-campus students.

Study spaces
Log in to book one of a variety of study spaces. 

Print copy scan
Add credit via eftpos or credit card to your UNSW ID card to print, copy or scan at UNSW.

Computers and IT

Computers

  • computers are available for UNSW student and staff use in each UNSW campus library
  • library computers are provided for the purpose of accessing course related information and resources. Read more about the Acceptable Use of UNSW Information Resources Policy

UNSW Wireless Network

  • connect to UniWide, the UNSW Wireless Network, from your laptop or mobile device

System requirements
You may need to adjust the settings on your personal computer when you use Library resources.

  • usernames and passwords
