UNSW Library notifications

Notifications about your current loans, overdue items or reservations are sent to your UNSW email account.

Interlibrary loans

If the Library does not have access to a book or journal article that you need for your studies, you can submit a request to obtain the item on interlibrary loan. UNSW Library will obtain it for you from another library. 

Interlibrary loans are available to all current UNSW students and staff.

myLibrary

Log in to myLibrary to:

  • check your loans and due dates
  • renew your loans
  • track your requests
  • check fines
  • ensure you are getting access to all the Library's online resources

Services for students

Borrowing rights
Loan period is generally four weeks, unless recalled, and two hour loans for High Use Collection items.
Undergraduates can have 30 items out on loan.

Intercampus loans
Request an item that is on loan to someone else or located at an another UNSW campus library.

Interlibrary loans
Request items not held at UNSW Library.

Off-campus borrowing
Library resources for off-campus students.

Group study rooms
Log in to book a media booth or group study room. 

Print copy scan
Add credit via eftpos or credit card to your UNSW ID card to print, copy or scan at UNSW.

Computers and IT

Computers

  • display screens on Levels 2 & 3 of the Main Library and on the Ground Level of the Law Library show a summary of computer availability
  • library computers are provided for the purpose of accessing course related information and resources. Read more about the Acceptable Use of UNSW ICT Resources

UNSW Wireless Network

  • connect to UniWide, the UNSW Wireless Network, from your laptop or mobile device

System requirements
You may need to adjust the settings on your personal computer when you use Library resources.
Follow our guidelines for:

  • supported browsers
  • browser settings
  • security software / firewall restrictions
  • usernames and passwords
