Finding collaborators

There are a variety of tools available to help identify collaborators, including:

  • SciVal (using Scopus data, good STEM coverage)
  • Incites (using Web of Science, good STEM coverage)
  • Dimensions (using Crossref data, broad coverage across disciplines)

These tools can help you:

  • analyse research trends
  • identify and build collaborative research partnerships
  • evaluate your existing collaborations based on publication output and citation impact

Additional strategies for identifying collaborators

  • ResearchID, Google Scholar and ResearchGate provide tools to set up a profile. Search these sites to find other researchers by name or area of expertise.
  • Attending conferences allows you to network with your peers
